Nudism Etiquette
You
mean there's actually special etiquette for nudists???
Yes !
In a social setting, there are always rules of etiquette to be observed. Non-sexual, social nudity has those same rules, along with a few very special rules.
Some of the rules of etiquette below should be very much common sense. It
is not our intention to be condecending to you or anyone in the writing of this
web-page. Experience has shown us, however,
that common sense is not so common, hence we find it in the best interests
of our objective (introducing people to nudism) to post even the
basics...
Bring your own towel
When going to a nudist park or resort, always bring alongyour own towel to sit on. It's impolite (actually, it's just plain rude) to sit your bare bum down without a towel or other cloth under you.
Cameras
Leave them at home. While some people have no objection to being photographed in the nude, many nudist parks and resorts have policies against cameras and other photogrpahy equipment. If you MUST bring the camera, always observe the park rules (less you'll get thrown out) and ALWAYS get the permission of any subjects that might be in your photos, even if they are off in the background.
Gawking/Staring
It is just downright rude to stare at people, clothed or not.Staring at people at nudist parks and resorts may very well get you escorted to the door. If it's your first visit to a nudist park or resort, may we suggest that you wear a pair a mirrored sunglasses.
Children
Your children are your responsibility. Do not expect that others will watch your children for you. While nudist adults keep a watchful eye out for the children in the parks, it i up to you to keep your child under control. Conversely, paying undue attention to others' children may get you escorted to the door.
Rubbish and Cigarette Butts
Always place rubbish in the appropriate recepticles, espcially cigarette butts. Aside from being unsightly, many people walk completely nude throughout nudist parks, resorts, and beaches totally bare-foot. The chance that someones foot will get burnt is heightened with each cigarette butt that is mindlessly tossed to the groud.
Sexual Activity
Sexual activity (including masturbation) in public places is an absolute No-No! It will undoubtedly get you ascorted out, and possibly arrested.
Environmentally sensitive areas
Stay away from dunes and other environmentally sensitive areas when visiting a nude beach.
