  This is one of seven volumes of the "REC.NUDE FAQ: Naturist Site Reports".
  These are posted on the first of each month.

  This volume covers Europe.

  This FAQ answers one question which has an infinite number of variations:
  Where is a nude or clothing-optional beach/resort/campground/B&B/etc.
  near where I am or where I will be?  To answer that, this FAQ lists
  some brief information on some nude or clothing-optional sites that are
  frequently mentioned on rec.nude.  General information on family-oriented
  nude recreation can be found at either of

  The status of sites listed here may always change.  Battles are
  being fought continuously to maintain the status of these sites.
  Please check the Naturist Action Committee page for the latest on
  these battles.

  Nudity was legal on all Portuguese beaches, but recent legislation

  I don't know for certain if problems had arisen in towns or small

The official version of this FAQ entry is located at
http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~richard/naturism/Europe/Spain.html

  Contrary to most extended opinion, nudism is not illegal in Spain.
  Total nudity is not recommended in the many town or village beaches
  around the large (in European terms) Spanish coast, although topless
  is usual as it is in inland major town swimming pools.  In the case
  of total nudity, police officials just can ask you to put something
  on when somebody else claims to be disturbed, which only happens in
  the crowded and urban beaches.

  BEACHES
  -------
  The coast line of Holland is about 200 miles long.  There are 34 official
  public nude beaches, so it should not be difficult to find one.  They
  are open to any person.  Call the NFN, or ask a police officer or a
  local inhabitant.  In addition there are 38 official public nude
  recreation areas, often alongside lakes.  Also these are open to the
  general public.  For example, you can visit some beaches on the North
  Sea coast, approximately 50 miles from Amsterdam.  Zandvoort (a few
  kilometers south of the town), Bloemendaal aan Zee (near IJmuiden),
  Wijk aan Zee, Castricum aan Zee, or Bergen aan Zee.

  RESORTS
  -------
  There are 52 naturist resorts, all over the country.  Most resorts
  are owned by a club, and to be allowed on the resort one must be a
  member of a naturist club, or a member of NFN.  Some of the resorts
  allow camping, some are for recreation during the day only.  Often a
  daily fee applies.  Some resorts are commercial, and allow anyone who
  pays the fee.  Six of the resorts are on a farmyard.  Some examples:
  Amsterdam (1. north shore of the Nieuwe Meer; 2. a small isle in
  Sloterparkbad), Oostzaan (Het Twiske), Buitenhuizen (east of the
  parking lot at the farm Zorgvliet)

  PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS IN AMSTERDAM
  ----------------------------------
  These have some days for nude recreation.  I don't have a schedule,
  so ask when you are there:
    - Openluchtbad Sloterpark, Slotermeerlaan 2;
    - Floraparkbad, Sneeuwbalweg 5;
    - Marnixbad, Marnixplein 9;
    - Brediusbad, Spaarndammerdijk 306;
    - Sportfondsenbad-Oost, Fronemanstraat 3;
    - Zuiderbad, Hobbemastraat 26.

The official version of this FAQ entry is located at
http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~richard/naturism/Europe/Italy.html

  Generally, Italy is not a good country for naturism.  Nudity, even in
  an out-of-sight beach, can be still a problem.  Topfree was made legal
  on all Italian beaches on 1981.  In 1985, an appeals judge ruled that
  "discreet and natural" nudity is OK, "as long as it is not done in a
  show-off or provocative way."  Caution is still advised, as this is a
  hot issue there.

Subject: HUNGARY

The official version of this FAQ entry is located at
http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~richard/naturism/Europe/Hungary.html

  In Hungary there are some naturist beaches and camps for example at
  the lake Balaton, at Budapest and Debrecen and so on.

  One of the best is the naturist camp in Szeged-Sziksosfurdo.  It offers
  you a place to relax and to have a good time.  Visitors will find a
  pleasant, grass covered surface of 5 ha shaded by newly planted young
  trees.  The camp will receive guests from 15 April to 15 October if
  weather permits.  There is electric current for 24 sites and about 50
  tents can be accommodated.  Guests with no other means of accommodation
  can chose 4 bungalows with 2 beds and there is one with four beds.
  Should need arise, you can communicate back home through a crossbar
  telephone.  There is a small buffet, a bistro in the camping as well
  as showers with hot and cold water and water-flushed toilettes.

  To cook a meal, there is an open fireplace for this purpose and for
  a proper cooking there is a kitchen with a gas-stove and you can do
  your washing up in a wash-basin with hot and cold water.  Peaceful
  amusement is offered by the non-stop buffet or if you wish you can
  watch TV (with satellite programs) or can play billiards.  If you are
  a sport fan, beside swimming you can play volley-ball table-tennis
  not to mention running and jogging.  For smaller children there is
  a separated shallow bathing place along the lakeside and there is a
  sand-pit and swing.  In the pavilion you can buy souvenirs, newspapers,
  bathing articles and playthings.

  The camp's address:
        Natours KFT
        H-6791 Kiskundorozsma
        P.O.Box. 26.
